What to include in a first message.

You do not need to write a brief. Three things make the first reply useful — for both sides.

  • Who you are and the role you hold — fund, owner-operator, family vehicle, asset manager.
  • Roughly how much residential you hold, and roughly how long you hold it for.
  • The operational question you have been carrying that brought you here.
